The unsettled nature of the artist made her a pioneer on many fronts. Adeguimar Arantes was the first Brazilian jeweler artist to use only recycled metals since 1985, the first having a pop store in a thrift shop in São Paulo city, and the only one to create a method of jewels leasing in Brazil for four years. An exclusive club of clients has access today to some of her works, of which there are only fifty per year. Totally “Slow”.
If there is an explanation for creativity, it can be in only one word of great meaning: Affection. In the same way that she loves her work, she loves people and causes.
From the strong sensibility and loving observation, the artist extracts the synthesis of her contemporaneous work. “I invested years in the pursuit of my best result, a valuable jewel, however WITHOUT liquidity. It is my way of opposing the growing violence. I just think of my art as a means of putting forward goodness to whomever is going to use or contemplate my art.”
